A little shop off the coast, with one product on the shelf
A small island wellness shop that ships to the mainland. We keep a short counter, a short list of things we sell, and a boat schedule taped to the register.
The harbour at the end of a working day. Every parcel we send leaves the island from a dock like this one.
A retail shop, not a clinic
BLOCK ISLAND HEALTH SERVICES, INC is a retail wellness shop. We stock a packaged dietary supplement, we pack the boxes ourselves, and we answer the phone. We do not provide medical care, diagnosis or treatment, and nothing here is medical advice.
The shop
One room on 6 Payne Road, a counter, a scale for postage and a window that faces the water. The year-round population here is around a thousand people, so most of our customers are neighbours first and customers second.
The product
GlycoWell is a once-daily dietary supplement in capsule form, made for adults. One bottle holds thirty capsules — a month at the labelled serving. That is the whole catalogue; we would rather stock one thing properly.
The mainland
Orders leave the island on the ferry, then travel by carrier from the mainland dock. It adds a day or so compared with a warehouse, and we would rather tell you that up front than pretend otherwise.
What a shop like this is actually like
Everything on these shelves crossed water to get here, which changes how you buy. You order early, you order more than you think you need, and you learn the difference between a slow week and a week when the boat simply did not run.
In July the door does not stop. In February we can go an hour without a customer, so the day becomes packing, paperwork and email, with the kettle on. Both halves of that year are the business — the summer pays for the winter, and the winter is when we actually get things done.
It also means we know who we are selling to. A good part of our counter trade is people we will see again at the grocery, so an oversold promise would follow us around. That is the honest reason our copy is as plain as it is.
From our dock to your door
Every mainland order follows the same four steps. Confirmations and tracking arrive by email, never by text.
What ferry-day dispatch means for your dates
There is no warehouse behind this. A parcel goes out on a scheduled boat, so the useful question is not “how fast do you ship?” but “which boat does it make?”
- Orders placed before 11am ET on a shop day are usually packed and walked down for that day’s dispatch.
- Anything later, or on a Sunday, goes on the next scheduled boat instead.
- Once the carrier collects on the mainland side, transit is typically 2 to 5 business days depending on where you are.
- In the off-season there are fewer crossings, so allow a day or two more than you would in August.
- Fog, gales and ice cancel boats. When that happens we email you the same day rather than let a tracking page go quiet.
You order
An email confirmation goes out straight away with your order number and what is in the box.
We pack at the counter
Boxes are packed by hand in the shop, usually the same morning the order lands.
Ferry-day dispatch
Parcels ride the next scheduled boat to the mainland dock, weather permitting.
Carrier to your door
The carrier picks up on the mainland side and emails you the tracking link the same day.
When the boat goes, the orders go with it
That is the whole logistics operation, and we think it is worth saying plainly instead of hiding it behind a delivery estimate we cannot control.
What we say, and what we will not
Two short lists, because it is easier to trust a shop that tells you where its own limits are.
What we will tell you
- GlycoWell is a dietary supplement in capsule form, taken once a day by adults.
- What a bottle costs, how many capsules are in it, and which boat it is likely to make.
- That returns are open for 180 days, opened bottles included.
- Who we are: BLOCK ISLAND HEALTH SERVICES, INC., EIN 22-2570482, on Block Island.
- When we have got something wrong, and what we are doing about it.
What we will not tell you
- That a supplement treats, prevents or cures anything. It does not, and saying so would be false.
- That you will get any particular result. Individual experiences vary.
- Stories from customers dressed up as evidence.
- That a countdown clock is about to expire. We do not run them.
- That stock is “almost gone” when it is sitting on the shelf behind us.

The questions we get asked most
Mostly about boats, and quite reasonably so. There are more on the visit & ship page.
Do I have to be on the island to buy it?
No. Most orders go to the mainland. You can also walk in during Mon-Sat, 9am-4pm ET and buy it over the counter, which saves the postage and the wait.
How long will delivery actually take?
Reckon on the next scheduled boat plus two to five business days of carrier transit. Off-season, add a day or two. We would rather give you a range we can keep than a single number we cannot.
What if I change my mind?
Returns are open for 180 days from delivery, opened bottles included. Email team@healthpeaceprosperity.com and we will start it and send you the address.
Will you text me about my order?
No. Order confirmations, tracking and delivery notices are sent by email only. Our text list is marketing news and nothing else, and joining it is entirely optional.
Shop news by text, if you want it
This is a marketing list and nothing else: shop news, seasonal offers and restock notes from BLOCK ISLAND HEALTH SERVICES, INC. Order confirmations, tracking and shipping notices are sent by email instead. US mobile numbers, 18 and over.
Questions before you order?
Write to team@healthpeaceprosperity.com or call +1 (401) 466-2974. Someone in the shop answers during Mon-Sat, 9am-4pm ET, and out of hours email is read first thing the next morning.
