Our text message program in one paragraph

BLOCK ISLAND HEALTH SERVICES, INC runs a single text message program and it is marketing only: shop news, seasonal offers and restock notes. What we keep, and for how long

  • Order records — name, delivery address, email address and what you bought. Kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to keep them, then deleted.
  • Text list records — mobile number, first name, the date and wording of the consent you agreed to, and the page you signed up from. Kept while you are subscribed.
  • Opt-out records — if you leave the list we keep a note that the number opted out, and nothing more. That record exists so the number is never re-added by mistake; it is not used to contact you.
  • Correspondence — emails to and from the shop, kept while they are useful for supporting you and then cleared out.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell personal information to anyone, for any price.
  • We do not share mobile numbers or SMS consent records with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
  • We do not add anyone to the text list because they bought something. Consent is separate, explicit and optional.
